VMware Communities RC install fails on XP x

I just recently installed 2.0 RC1 on my Win XP Pro x64 system. I had an error during the uninstall of the previously installed 1.0.6, then tried again with the 2.0 and it installed correctly. Unfortunately, I've had two different Win XP Pro .... My final action was to do the unthinkable, find and read the manual. I see now that 2.0 is VERY different from 1.0.x and I was not expecting that.
